We have officially opened the Robert Saunders Building, our new technical centre!
Published: 28 December 2018
We have invested significantly in a new technical centre in response to growing business demands and commitment to customer support.
Work started on the centre back in March, and features new product development and testing labs, as well as dedicated customer training areas, and new offices for our technical team.
Reflecting our family values, our new technical centre has been named the ‘Robert Saunders Building’ in memory of our founder who sadly passed away in 2014. Robert was a technical chemist and the technical ethos still remains at Apollo. His technical knowledge paved the way for our innovations today, and this allows Robert’s legacy to live on.
Gill Saunders, Robert’s wife, officially opened the building on Wednesday 21st November 2018. All employees were present at the unveiling and enjoyed a celebratory lunch.
Commenting on the investment, Apollo Chairman, Jon Saunders said: “Technical expertise has always been our key asset and the ‘Robert Saunders Building’ will enable us to offer unparalleled support in terms of product development, testing, demonstrations and training. During the last five years, we have seen tremendous business growth and almost doubled the amount of employees as we’ve developed the Apollo brand. We are looking forward to inviting customers to experience our new facility which further demonstrates our commitment to our ‘More than adhesives’ brand promise.
“It was great to celebrate this latest investment with the entire Apollo team. Reaching these milestones is only possible with the hard work of each and every member of staff whatever their role or function. I’d like to thank all of our employees for their support as they continually strive to make our business a success.”
